Dr. Judy Su, Ph.D.

Dr. Judy Su, PhD, is a clinical neuropsychologist and licensed clinical psychologist (PSY 32996) who specializes in assessing adults who have concerns about their cognition. At Perspectives, Dr. Su conducts comprehensive neuropsychological evaluations for adults and older adults.

Dr. Su’s clinical interests are broad, but she is especially interested in the assessment of neurodegenerative diseases and co-occurring cognitive and psychological conditions.  She is also passionate about reducing the risk of cognitive decline from a holistic perspective.  She has provided psychoeducational classes to various groups on the topic of how sleep, mental health, diet, exercise, and other psychosocial factors impact the brain and overall health.  Her clinical experience includes assessment/evaluations of neurodegenerative disorders, pre-DBS surgery, and acquired brain injury, as well as rehabilitation psychology, evidenced-based therapy for depression and anxiety, cognitive rehabilitation, and psychological assessment.  She has worked extensively to assess and treat patients in an interdisciplinary team setting.

Dr. Su is medical staff at Providence Mission Hospital and Hoag Hospital.  She is a member of the American Psychological Association (APA), National Academy of Neuropsychology (NAN), and International Neuropsychological Society (INS).

Academic Background

Dr. Su received her doctoral degree in clinical psychology from Fuller Graduate School of Psychology in Pasadena, California in 2019.  She completed her clinical training at top-tier institutions including Rancho Los Amigos Rehabilitation Center, UCLA Medical Psychology Assessment Clinic, Loma Linda VA Healthcare System, and UCLA Longevity Center.  She completed her pre-doctoral internship and post-doctoral residency in clinical neuropsychology at Phoenix VA Health Care System in Phoenix, Arizona (APA accredited and member of APPPCN).  Prior, Dr. Su completed her Master of Arts degree in clinical psychology at Fuller Graduate School of Psychology and completed her Bachelor of Science degree in Psychobiology at University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA).
