Dr. Dean Lim, Ph.D.
Dr. Dean Lim, PhD, is a registered psychological assistant (94025653), currently under the supervision of Dr. Seda Terzyan. Dr. Lim provides comprehensive evaluations for children and adults. He specializes in various evidence-based treatment modalities, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectic behavioral therapy (DBT), and acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT).
He has extensive experience treating depression, anxiety, substance-use disorders, eating disorders, and trauma-related disorders. Dr. Lim’s treatment approach is patient-centered. He believes that successful treatment is always built upon the foundation of collaborative treatment planning and goal setting with each individual.
Dr. Lim received his doctoral degree in clinical psychology from Loma Linda University. He completed his APA-accredited pre-doctoral internship at the University Neuropsychiatric Institute, where he specialized in the evaluation and treatment of severe mental illness across the developmental spectrum. He has received specialized training in multiple settings, such as the Valenta Eating Disorder Clinic and the Loma Linda Behavioral Medicine Center. Dr. Lim completed his Master’s education in clinical psychology at Loma Linda University and his Bachelor’s degree in psychology at University of California, Riverside.
